Case study · UX Audit
A five-day UX audit that uncovered why shoppers abandoned checkout — and how to fix it.

Results
01The challenge
Northwind’s online store attracted plenty of traffic, but seven in ten shoppers abandoned their basket — most of them on mobile. The team had theories, but no evidence of where or why customers were dropping off.
02Our solution
In five days our designers combined analytics, session recordings, heuristic review and accessibility checks into a prioritised report of 42 issues. We then redesigned the mobile checkout and supported Northwind’s developers as they shipped the top ten fixes.
03Key features
Exact drop-off points mapped across devices and markets.
Expert evaluation against usability best practice.
WCAG issues found and fixed in the purchase journey.
